Indonesians and ASEAN citizens are visa-free for short visits; many other nationalities too. Check the Immigration Department site for your passport and for the online arrival declaration if required.
Culture - take note
A conservative Islamic sultanate under Sharia law. No alcohol is sold (non-Muslims may bring a small declared allowance for private use). Dress modestly, cover up at mosques. Use the right hand; do not point with the index finger (use the thumb). Respect for the Sultan and Islam is expected. Shops and offices close for Friday prayers. During Ramadan, no eating, drinking or smoking in public during the day.
