Entry
All visitors must submit the free SG Arrival Card online within 3 days before arrival (it includes the health declaration). Indonesians and most nationalities are visa-free for short visits; check ICA for visa-required countries.
Culture and laws - take note
Singapore is strict and the fines are real: no chewing gum imports, no littering, no smoking outside marked areas, no eating or drinking on the MRT, no jaywalking. Drug offences carry the death penalty. Vapes are banned. Duty-free alcohol allowance is small and cigarettes are NOT duty-free - declare them. Queue politely, keep left on escalators, and be punctual. Tipping is not customary (a service charge is added).
