Travel sources say Indonesian citizens can visit Chile for tourism without a visa (reported up to 90 days), but none is an official page, so confirm with the Chilean foreign ministry or embassy before you book. Bring a passport valid for 6 months, a return ticket, hotel details and proof of funds. Easter Island (Rapa Nui) has extra entry rules and limited stay - ask your operator.

Culture and practical - take note

Chileans are polite and reserved at first; greet with a handshake or a single cheek kiss. Chile is long and earthquake-prone: read the hotel's evacuation sign, and move to high ground at once after a strong quake near the coast. Customs is strict about fresh fruit, meat, dairy, seeds and plants - declare them or leave them at home, as fines are heavy. The Atacama desert is high and dry - drink water and rest before activity. Patagonia weather changes quickly. Tip about 10%. Wildfires can occur in summer. Keep an eye on valuables in big cities and use official taxis or apps. Halal food is limited outside Santiago.
