Entry
Qatar lets many nationalities enter without a visa, and others apply for an e-visa through the official Hayya platform. Sources suggest Indonesians can stay about 30 days visa-free, but this could not be confirmed from an official page - use the visa eligibility checker on the official Visit Qatar site (it shows your passport's current status). Expect to need a passport valid for 6 months, a confirmed hotel booking and a return ticket. Use only official sites.
Culture and laws - take note
Qatar is a conservative Islamic country. Dress modestly in public (shoulders and knees covered); swimwear only at hotel pools and beaches. Alcohol is only served in licensed hotel venues; do not carry or drink it in public. Drugs are punished severely; some common medicines are controlled - carry prescriptions. Public displays of affection are not accepted. Ask permission before photographing people, especially women, and do not photograph government buildings. During Ramadan, do not eat, drink or smoke in public in the daytime. Heat is extreme in summer. Respect prayer times and Friday.
Emergency
999 for police, ambulance and fire.
